Our story...

While searching for the perfect name for the company, the word "İzel: popped up. It means: a rare feminine Turkish given name. In Nahuatl, Izel means "only one", "unique."

Melissa Chipman had a vision over 17 years ago to create a tour company that provided unique experiences. She wanted to show the world her favorite way to travel by:

-Cultural immersion
-Adventure
-Service
-Art journaling
-Time to take quality photos
-Relaxation
-Meditation
-Socializing with the locals
-Learning the history
-Local Cooking classes
-Come home refreshed 

Instead of just go-go-go, create a well- balanced vacation that not only creates some adrenaline from the new, but also fills the heart with serving those in need in local communities. 

Since Melissa has been doing art for over 26 years, she has longed to go on vacation and have time to sit and take in a scene, and do a watercolor sketch in a journal. Most people just want to move along. Which, you're welcome to do as well, but she will provide the opportunity to take time out and capture the essence of a scene.
